The University of Miracles

The Byzan city state of Azmar is home to the University of Miracles. The university is a place for study and research into the mystical arts. Traditionally the home of human priests and magic users, 10 years ago the university opened its doors to casters of all races, all with the goal of working towards a brighter future.

Ethos:
The university aims to create a pleasant and safe atmosphere where magic users of all walks of life may come to discuss research and improve their magical skills. The University believes that power and knowledge should be studied for the greater good and shared with the world. The university aims provide a wide range of classes and lectures aimed and making sure that every caster reaches their full potential]

Benefits

Minor: Scribe: Gains the first rank of scribe scroll for free.

Major: Honors Student: May learn the first circle of any one aspect chosen regardless of class magic availability, however if specialist has been taken you may not choose your opposite aspect. However the type of magic must be taught at the university to be able to claim it as your free spell, for example if there is no shadow lecturer at the university then shadow magic many not be claimed as your free circle(your free circle does not have to be claimed immediately upon entry you may hold off until a student is promoted to lecturer in you desired aspect then choose)

Material: Power-Aid (yes that just happened): Students start each adventure with a potion that restores 5 points of aether.

Disbenefits

The university will tolerate any form of conflict between its members, student found be causing harm of bullying to another member of the university will be expelled immediately 

All members of the university must show the upmost respect for magic and creatures made from it. Mindless slaughter of magical beasts will result in the student being expelled. However in cases of self defense this rule is waived 

All students are the ambassadors and face of the university, as such they must behave in a respectable manner at all times as not to sully the good name of the university, students must be open about their enrollment at the university and never hide that they are a member.

All students must pay a quarterly fee of 10 shillings to the university, if the student does not pay without good reason all benefits(including honor student) will be suspended until such a time that the student is no longer in arrears 

If a student is expelled from the university they lose all of the above benefits, may never again cast magic from the aspect chose for their honors student benefit, and the purchase of all future magical circles will cost an additional 2 Skill. Also if rank 2 and 3 have been purchased for scribe scroll these may not be used until the student has purchased rank 1 scribe scroll, however the skill cost of this will be equivalent of scribe scroll rank 3.
