
The Grey Company
The Grey Company is a mercenary unit that resides outside of all national borders. The Grey Company have an excellent reputation for never breaking a contract. This is a reputation that they value a great deal and any member that drags the good name of the company through the mud could find their brothers in arms turn on them very quickly. The Grey Company will accept all races and professions within their ranks as long as they are willing to follow the orders of their superior officers.
Ethos: The Grey Company believes in military discipline and skill to get the job done.
Benefits
Major: Good Morale: Gain an additional (non healable) soul point for every member of the grey company on adventure with them
Minor: gain persistence for free (if purchased may use for 1 less aether)
Material: Each member of the gray company gets 5 shillings a month if they do not play an adventure to represent wages given from the company (this will run for 4 months before it ceases and character must be played once more to reset)
Disbenefits:
Once a contract is accepted the member must see it through to completion, if a contract is broken the member is banished until they have made amends (at guild leaders discretion) .
Must follow all orders given by ranking members of the guild. Disobeying orders will result in the member being banished from the company.
If a company fatality occurs due to an order given by a ranking officer, that officer will be expected to submit a full battle report for review by the Company Captain
Must swear sever all former ties and swear complete allegiance to the company
20% of all outside earnings must go to the guild
Must wear a grey cloak to get company benefits
If banished from the Grey Company a character is inflicted by a curse of conscious resulting the character permanently having -2 soul for the purpose of domination effects (so while a character has 10 soul for domination purposes they would only have 8 soul to defend)
