The History of the Twins
The Twins were the first born Children of “The Creator”. Though the creator shaped many races and beings, the Twins were the ones she loved best of all. Atia loved the sun and light an rejoiced in the life that it bought. She would watch the beings on Naesil with endless Joy, but she wept at every death she witnessed. Ytos the younger was care free and had no interest in creations that were not his own, he loved to explore the dark places and caverns beneath the earth. Like his mother he loved to build and create but he lacked her skill or persistence, here he made the lesser creatures of the earth, worms, slugs and snails. On the day the creator revealed that she would be leaving the world she had created to create a new, she declared her final gift to her favorite children, the world.
She named Atia the goddess of life as she had witnessed her love of all things living, she taught Atia how to bring life to her creations and how to nurture and care for them. She named Ytos god of the mountain for his love of the caverns below the Earth but he was jealous that his sister had been shown the gift of creation and he had not as he had always wanted a people of his own. So he hid beneath the earth and built a sprawling city for the people he intended to create, but of his attempts to create higher life failed. Ytos looked about him and he was lonely. He returned to the surface to beg of his mother to create him a people to populate his new underground world in return for becoming the god of mountains as she had wanted. But before he could find her he stumbled upon Atia his sister weeping, they had spent much of their lives apart, so he was unaware that this was her custom upon witnessing a death. As he watched her weep his jealously was washed away and his heart broke, he asked her why she wept and she explained that she wept for the dead, whose souls were left to wander the world lonely and alone. At that moment Ytos found his calling, together Atia and Ytos travelled the world gathering up the lost and wandering souls of the dead and lead them to the underworld that Ytos had built, where Ytos promised to keep them safe and looked after out of love for his sister. The creator who had watched this all declared her son the god of death a title Ytos willingly accepted, and with that final act the creator vanished
The Church of Atia:
All followers of Atia love and respect life above all else, however in a world so recently ravaged by a terrible war they have also learned that sometimes one life must be taken to save many, though they do this with a heavy heart. Most followers of Atia tend to be priests who have dedicated their life to the magical healing arts.

Rules for Followers of Atia
May never instigate a fight
May never kill an opponent who yields
In cases where a life must be taken to protect the lives of many the target must be given the chance to repent
Must ask forgiveness from the soul of every life they take
Faith Benefits:
Rank 1: All casters may add life to their magical casting list
Rank 2: May cast healing spells for -1 power (this goes to a minimum of one)
Rank 3:
Rank 4: Natural Healer: may now use circle one healing spells without use of power, this is due to the character learning how to physically heal a wound. Takes 5 mins of role play fixing up a patient before spell takes effect
Rank 5: Soul soother: as natural healer but may now do the same for the soul by talking and soothing a patient for 3 minutes
The Church of Ytos
The Dark Brother of Atia, the common misconception of Ytos is that he is an evil god. This is completely untrue and unfounded. Ytos is known as the protector of the final journey we all must take. His followers claim that he personally ascends from the underworld to shepherd and welcome every soul to their final resting place. Followers of Ytos believe in the balance of life and death they realize for new life to blossom old life must be extinguished. Ytos followers abhor creatures without souls and will mercilessly hunt them down.
